T-mobile plan questions?

My family has Verizon, 1000 minutes for five people. I help out a bit with twenty bucks a month. We went over our minutes (my fault) this month and my family wants me to pay $130. In a fit of emotion, I said I would rather take over my phone or get my own plan. Fam wants me to take over my phone. I'm thinking of a T-mobile plan because the people I gab with the most are T-mobile....

What I want: 300 minutes, five faves, mobile to mobile, lowest amount of texts...

1. T-Mobile charges to send texts outside of T-mobile?

2. Can my faves be home numbers? Any provider?

3. Which phone would you recommend? I have a razr right now and love that I can record my ringtones. I would love to keep that feature.

4. The phones on the site aren't great, should I go in store?

5. It says DOMESTIC texts.... What is that?

6. Letstalk.com? Good or no? Wirefly and other websites don't seem to have a mobile to mobile option, or nights/weekends and are 2 year contracts...

THANK YOU! Sorry it's a lot....

T-mobile plan questions?
1. T-Mobile charges $.15 for texts to anyone with any type of plan unless you have a texting feature in your plan. There is currently a feature with 400 text messages a month for an extra $5 to your monthly bill.

2. My-Faves can be any number, no matter what carrier and no matter whether it's a home number or a cell number.

3. I'd recommend the Samsung SGH-T629 [the phone I'm using right now]. It can record ringtones, play music files, use bluetooth, take pictures, and a lot more.

4. It depends on the features that you're looking for. You can go to a local Wal-mart or Best Buy store with an electronic section and pick from a variety of phones for T-Mobile.

5. Not sure, but I think it means texting within your FamilyTime plan. Or maybe it could just mean texting in general.

6. Not sure that I can help you out with this one but if you're looking for a cheaper plan, then i dont think you'll find one because all T-Mobile plans are the same regardless of where you get it. If you get it from T-Mobile.com or on the phone with T-Mobile then it's only a 1 year contract.

hope this helped. :)
