ok so i live in london but over here t-mobile has a 3g network. And last week i went to new york to visit my sister and i found out that they sell t-mobile but they dont have a 3g network like us. but before i left the guy at the store told me that my phone would roam into t-mobile USA. but it didn't because once i arrived in new york my phone on the screen it said at%26amp;t. but i dont know how much they charged me for roaming. if anybody knows please help.
T-mobile roaming charges help!!?
honestly you will need to call tmobile in london because they will be able to tell you if there is a charge. i used to work there in the customer service dept and we had people calling in all the time from other countries either not able to use the phone or wanting to know if there would be a charge. so i would say it would be better for you to contact them, because i would hate for you to get home and have a $1000 phone bill. GOOD LUCK!!!!
Reply:Hi Omar
T-Mobile UK will have different roaming partners in different countrys. In the US, it would make sense for T-Mobile UK to have both T-Mobile USA and ATT as roaming partners to give their customers the best coverage while travelling internationally. Your phone would not work on the ATT network if ATT was not a roaming partner of T-Mobile UK. Since it works on the ATT network, then they are a roaming partner
Enjoy your trip, dont worry about any additional cost, there wont be any on top of the standard roaming charges

Heres the roaming partners from the T-Mobile UK website

ATT is listed as Cingular, Cingulars name was changed to att about a year ago
