Which mobile's r known as GSM Mobile's ?
GSM mobile phones are actually the simple ones. GSM phones are those which are text messaging enabled phones.


GSM (Global System for Mobile communications).


GSM uses narrowband TDMA, which allows eight simultaneous calls on the same radio frequency.


GSM was first introduced in 1991. As of the end of 1997, GSM service was available in more than 100 countries and has become the de facto standard in Europe and Asia.


Simple mobile phones are the old versions of mobile phones which are mainly used for calls, no added features like text messaging, video messaging, etc. etc.


There's also what we call Symbian phones, which have the capability of having applications and works like computer.

Reply:here in the US, the two major users of GSM is Cingular/AT %26amp; T and T-Mobile. US Cell, Verizon, Sprint use CDMA. Nextel uses i-Den.





the difference comes from the frequency and computer technology used. which is why unlocked gsm cannot be used by a cdma company and vice versa.





on a side note...on cdma networks you can get an echo effect and on gsm you can get a digitized sound effect which is also due to the tech used.
