Do mobile companies record past phone calls?

someone has been threathening me through phone calls, and i didn't get a chance to record them, and if this goes to a lawsuit it would be crucial to have these as evidences. i know some countries keep the recordings of past calls, but i heard that wired phone calls do not get recorded by a lawyer, but i'm not sure about the mobile phones. if the person called me through mobile phone and i receive it with wired phones, would be recorded by his/her's mobile company?

Do mobile companies record past phone calls?
both cell and landline carriers maintain records of all calls in and out. For the most part, the records are private and may appear on your billing statements.

If you need a record of what was said, you can record it. Keep in mind, if you are in a mutual state, both parties must agree to being recorded......that evidence can not be used in court............ If you are in a single consent state, and you are recording, you can record any conversation because YOU know it is recording....that can be used in court.

If you need other records besides your own, you can subpoena the records should you bring it to court......

If you are being threatened, you should consult an attorney so they can start the legal process.
Reply:Don't know if your calls are recorded in Canada. That stuff doesn't get done down here in the US..
Reply:yes
Reply:Land lines and cells will have logs on incoming and outgoing numbers. Conversations are not on record. You will have to record it on your own.
