i have a half acre of land and i want to buy a mobile home and put on it. can i get a septic tank on a half acre? what permits do i need before i buy my mobile home?

Mobile home permits?
You need to be zoned for mobile homes first.

1/2 acre is not enough for a modern septic tank in CA, but your state may have a differant requirement for the leech field. Your county or city planners can tell you how large it needs to be.
Reply:First, find out if the zoning for that land will allow a MH to be put on it. YOu will also want to check for CC%26amp;Rs (conditions, covenants and restrictions) if it is in a subdivision.

Certain areas have different requirements for septic, you will have to check with your local agency that deals with these.

You will need a building permit, but check with your local permits office to see what else you need.

MHs are a bad investment, I hope you have done your research on this.
