With most companies, it's just under the same carrier. Cingular to Cingular... Verizon to Verizon, etc. There are a couple that now let you have a certain number of "friends" that you can call in other networks without using any of your minutes, but keep in mind... if your friend doesn't have the same thing... it will still cost THEM minutes.
