SHOULD MOBILE PHONES/CELL PHONES BE ALLOWED AT Public Schools?

Should mobile phones/cell phones be allowed at mobile phones? I' m writing an exposition speech and is due tomorrow and has to be atleast 1 minute. The reasons I included were


1. Call your parents to pick you up because of an emergency


2.Use it as a stop watch


3.Use it as a clock


4.Use it as a calculator


I can't think of anymore can anyone tell me a few more in point format and/or edit some of the reasons I got. 1st one with descriptive answer gets 10 points. ITS HAS TO BE AN EXPOSITION!

Text your mates to cheat in exams.


Text your mates while in class so that you don't listen to the lesson.


Get your phone stolen.


Have a really annoying ringtone that disrupts the class.
Reply:I think safety is the number one answer. In emergencies, especially if your child walks home, cell phones can save lives. Or if the child gets lost, too.
Reply:i feel,every thing has two faces,so,preferrably i would suggest it shouldnt be allowed in public schools as it makes a child more matured then his age.it can spoil a child.but if in case its allowed to use in schools in case of urgency then ther shouls b restrictions as it should be submitted b4 entering a clss and collected while leaving.
Reply:The previous answer suggesting a holding box, wouldn't be a good counterpoint, because the cellphones would be very easily stolen. It'd be like leaving your iPod in the lunchroom.





Kids who stay after school need to be picked up


After school, you need to call or text friends back and forth to see where to meet up if you need a ride


If kids go on overnight field trips, would they then not be allowed to carry their cell phones?
Reply:I believe that students should be allowed to take their cell phones to school, but they shouldn't be allowed in the classroom. There should be a cell phone holding box mounted on the wall outside of the classroom, and the phones should be turned off while the students are attending class.
Reply:-If the student needs to be contacted (because of something like a relative who's in hospital) then they can be contacted immediately.


-For after school, in case the student doesn't go straight home.


-It's good for some classes (at my school, we can use our phones in Photography class to take photos if we want)

Use as a camera for emergency situation as well.
