Mobile Internet?

Mobile Internet?

I’ve just had a new mobile and 02 have just sent me a message saying that I have 5MB of free active mobile internet browsing to use before 27/03. As I have never had a phone with the Internet on it before and I am a bit green with mobile terms and usage could some one explain what this means in laymen’s terms (simple language please)

Mobile Internet?
5Mb means you can download 5Mb's (megabyte... 1 megabye = about 1 million bytes) of data from the internet via your mobile.

to put that in perspective a song is about 3-5 mb's, a picture about 2 to 50 kb's (kilo, thousand, bytes) and the average mobile internet page perhaps several kilobytes of text.
