Well, I must say I am very happy with T-Mobile's prices, cheap (but hi-quality) phones, and features. Still, a little while ago I moved, and I get ZERO reception in my hometown. I switched to Verizon, which has pretty good service, but their phones are terribly expensive compared to T-Mobile. Is there any way (if they're compatable with the network...bands, Mhz, whatever...) to use a T-Mobile phone on a Verizon network? Is it as simple as switching the SIM card, or is there more to it? I'm willing to pay an activation fee, as long as it isn't more than the phone itself. Right now I'm debating buying a Nokia cam phone on T-Mobile and transferring my Verizon account. OH! That reminds me...the phone's only like $80. It's on that prepay thingie T-Mobile has, so no contract. Will that affect the phone's "portability" from network to network, or is that strictly in the billing only? Mucho gracias! (Is that right, I don't take Spanish...*lol) ~ Mr. Wonderful
T-Mobile to Verizon??
The answer to wether or not you can cuse a T-Mobile phone on the Verizon Wireless network is No. You definitely can not. Verizon Wireless uses CDMA technology while T-Mobile uses GSM. There is nothing you or anyone can do to make it work on the VZW network. There are no SIM cards with verizon, this is only with GSM. You should call customer service to discuss what your options are regarding changing phones if you are still within the 15 day worry free guarantee. If you are not within this 15 day exchange period, try EBay. Verizon Wireless prices on equipment are very competitive and perhaps a representative can help you get the best phone for the best price. The Motorola Razor just went on sale for $99.99, buy one get one free. This is unheard of. It is not your "phone" that is portable network to network, it is only your mobile telephone number that is portable. I've included a link below that will take you to the current pricing and equipment Verizon Wireless has to offer, hopefully there is something that can be done when you contact customer service at *611. Thank You.
