This is a web design question. I'm fairly familiar with HTML and Javascript and I'm currently designing a web site. Are mobiles pages simply HTML pages that have been formatted to look good on lower-resolution screens or are there special scripting languages that make better use of mobile phone and PDA web browsers?
Mobile web sites...?
I've tried making a simple pre formatted webpage and it works trough the mobile phones %26amp; PDAs. I've also tried php webpage and it works too..
i guess even if there is a scripting language for mobile webpage. just plain html and some scripting will work just enough.
Reply:No you have to learn WML, or else you may contact a web designer at website like http://getafreelnacer.com/ .
Reply:You can use javascript to detect if the client is browsing from a mobile device (ie sniff out their browser). Sites that have custom sites tailored to mobile devices like, ibm.com or facebook.com create custom css files, or even completely new layouts to perfectly tailor to these smaller resolution screens.
You will notice that iphone.facebook.com where you get sent if your browsing it from an iphone.
